1. Export the set from Quizlet
Open a set you made, open the more menu, and choose Export. Keep Tab between term and definition and New line between rows, then copy the text. Quizlet’s export help has the details.

Match the separators to the ones you picked in Quizlet. Rows that can’t be read are listed with their row numbers, so nothing disappears without notice.
3. Import the file
In Anki desktop, choose File, then Import. On iPhone, open the .apkg and send it to AnkiMobile. In Smort, open the .smortdeck file, or go to Decks, open the menu, and choose Import Smort Pack File. Smort shows the Pack before anything is added.

Are my cards uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in this browser tab. Your text is never sent to a server.
Why can’t I export a Quizlet set?
Quizlet lets only the person who made a set export it. A set you copied from someone else can’t be exported, and images aren’t included in the export.
Does my study progress carry over?
No. Quizlet exports text only, so every card starts as a new card.
Can I convert a CSV file to Anki?
Yes, for plain two-column text without quote marks. Paste it and choose Comma. Each row splits at the first comma, and quote marks stay in the card. For a CSV file with quotes, use Anki desktop: File, then Import.
Can I go from Anki back to Quizlet?
Quizlet’s import takes pasted text. Open your deck in the Anki Deck Analyzer and download the notes as CSV. Open the CSV in a spreadsheet, delete the header row, and copy the front and back columns. For Basic notes, those are field1 and field2. Cloze cards need rewriting, because the answer sits inside the sentence. Paste the columns into Quizlet’s import box with Tab between term and definition.
