Terms
Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Smort app, Smort Cloud, Smort AI, and paid plans.
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Using Smort
You may use Smort for lawful personal or organizational learning. You are responsible for your account, the material you submit, and activity performed through your signed-in devices. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access or usage controls, automate abusive requests, probe other accounts, or use Smort to violate another person's rights.
Your content and AI output
You keep ownership of content you create or import. You give Smort the limited permission needed to store, sync, transmit, and process that content to provide the features you request. Make sure you have the right to use imported material.
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Review generated items and grading feedback before relying on them. Smort is a study tool, not professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.
Free, Plus, and Pro plans
Core reviews graded on your device, manual items, imports, editing, Self-Grade, sync, and Apple speech are not metered by the Smort AI allowances. Cloud grading of an ambiguous review answer is metered. The Free plan includes no monthly Smort AI allowance; Plus includes 200 creations and 5,000 cloud grades; Pro includes 1,000 creations and 20,000 cloud grades.
Allowances reset at the start of each UTC calendar month, do not roll over, are not transferable, and have no cash value. Failed requests that do not produce a usable result are released when the service can verify failure. Temporary reservations may appear while a request is running. Current plan limits are shown before purchase. We may adjust future limits or features and will provide notice when required.
Community Decks
Generated Decks are set to Public by default when Community is available, but Smort shows the exact Deck and item fields and asks you to confirm before the first publication. You can choose Private during generation or make a published Deck private later. Public Deck content can be viewed, downloaded, and used by other signed-in Smort members. Generation prompts are not published as separate fields, but generated output may repeat information from a prompt, so do not publish personal or confidential material.
You keep ownership of public Deck content and grant Smort a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, moderate, display, and distribute it for the Community feature. You also allow members to download, study, edit, and redistribute downloaded copies. Only publish material you have the right to share. Do not publish personal information, exploitation, harassment, hate, dangerous wrongdoing, illegal material, or content that infringes another person's rights.
Smort may automatically review, reject, unlist, or remove Community content and may limit or suspend publishers who abuse the feature. Members can report a specific Deck version and block a publisher. Making a Deck private removes its live public package; copies already downloaded by other members are not recalled.
Auto-renewable subscriptions
Plus and Pro are available as monthly or annual auto-renewable subscriptions. The app displays the subscription name, duration, localized total renewal price, and included service before you purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the end of that period.
Manage, change, or cancel a subscription in Smort's Plan & Usage screen or in your App Store subscription settings. Use Restore Purchases while signed in to the Smort account that should receive the entitlement. Apple handles billing, taxes, refunds, and regional pricing under its terms. Deleting Smort or deleting a Smort account does not cancel App Store billing.
Availability and changes
Internet, third-party providers, device capabilities, and regional availability can affect Cloud, AI, speech, or purchase features. We may maintain, secure, modify, or discontinue features and may suspend abusive or unsafe access. We will use reasonable care, but Smort is provided without a promise that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Account deletion and termination
You can delete your Smort account in the app. Review the billing warning and manage any active Apple subscription separately. You may stop using Smort at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material violations of these terms, fraud, security threats, or legal requirements.
